What trips are recommended for experienced anglers?
We offer a range of offshore charters from 5-12 hours, but our 8-hour offshore charter is by far the most popular option for experienced anglers. Common catches include red snapper, grouper, amberjack, triggerfish, king mackerel, mahi-mahi, and sharks. Your captain will target the best fish available during your trip.

No, you do not need to purchase a fishing license when booking with Salty Endeavors. Your fishing license is included with your charter, so you can focus on enjoying your trip.
Are your fishing charters private or shared?
Salty Endeavors trips are private fishing charters, meaning your group gets the entire boat. This allows for a more personalized and comfortable experience on the water. We do offer occasional shared charters on weekends only.
What should I bring on a fishing trip?
We recommend bringing:

  • a camera
We provide all fishing gear, bait, and tackle needed for your trip.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe, your captain will work with you to reschedule or provide a refund depending on availability.
What is the best time of year to go fishing in Destin?
Fishing in Destin and Fort Walton Beach is great year-round. Different species are available each season, with spring and summer being peak fishing times, especially for snapper and offshore species.
Do you offer shark fishing in Destin?
Yes, Salty Endeavors offers shark fishing trips where guests can experience the thrill of catching some of the some of the Gulf’s top predators.
Where do your fishing charters depart from?
Our trips depart from Adventure Marina in Fort Walton Beach, just minutes from Destin, making it easy for visitors staying anywhere along the Emerald Coast to join us.(Adventure Marina - 1201 B Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548)
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes, you can keep any legal fish that you catch (except for sharks — sharks are catch and release only). The captain will clean and bag your fish for you to take home.
How do payments and tips work?
All trips must be paid for with a credit or debit card, but tips can be paid with cash. You can book online or over the phone with a 30% deposit. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details and a link to pay your remaining balance. You can prepay or pay your captain in person. A 15–20% gratuity is customary.
Is there a bathroom on the boat?
Yes, 2 of our vessels have a private bathroom available (30' Pursuit and 29' Tidewater).
What time should we arrive?
We recommend arriving 20 minutes early in order to park and walk down to the dock.
Where do we park?
We have a numbered parking space at Adventure Marina reserved for our guests. Your space will be assigned after booking.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Full refund if you cancel 72 hours before your trip. No refund within 72 hours. Full refund if the captain cancels due to unsafe conditions. Disruptive or aggressive behavior may result in cancellation without refund.
